About Me!!!

Hi there! My name is Mythreyi; I’m 15 years old.

I’m your average violist who enjoys making music. I picked up the violin when I was five. Once I heard the awesome, chocolate-y tone of the viola, I wanted to make that sound, too. I was eleven when I got my first viola and twelve when I joined a youth orchestra for the very first time. My orchestral life broadened my horizon in the world of classical music and music in general. Now, I love reading and listening to new composers, compositions, conductors, and musicians.

In this blog, you’ll find posts about my own orchestral experience, things I learned by playing in a youth orchestra, and how I manage my mental health during annual auditions. I will also post ways in which I extend classical music to writing and art. Maybe the words I write will help and inspire you in your own life either as a musician or as a person who just enjoys being creative.
